What is Flamborough flowerpot festival?

It is a community event where local residents, businesses, and schools collaborate to create stunning displays using flower pots.

Who organises the festival?

The festival is organized and managed by a dedicated group of local residents who generously donate their time to ensure each year's event surpasses the success of the last.

How much does the event cost?

This is a free event and will remain this way.
However, we do advise that you purchase a trail map to ensure you do not miss any of the display around the village, theses are priced at just £2 and are available from most local shops.

Where did the idea for FFPF come from?

Following the impact of COVID-19, the residents of Flamborough aimed to boost community morale and bring joy to both locals and visitors. The idea of creating flowerpot displays was well received

Are there prizes for the best displays?

No! This is not a competitive event but rather A way to bring the community together.
The only rules are to go potty and have fun!

Where does the money from the trail maps go?

With a commitment to giving back to the community, a share of the proceeds from map sales will be dedicated towards covering costs associated with the festival, including insurance, printing of materials, and upcoming workshops. We are also proud to support local funding efforts and, this year, we have chosen to donate to our local preschool.

Is the flowerpot festival suitable for wheelchair and pushchairs?

Most of the displays are within the residential area of the village therefore suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
The pavement on lighthouse road (B1259) to the headlands is rather narrow.
Access to the beaches are down steep paths and dependent on tidal conditions.
